The Difference Between Horse Men and Horse Women

People who own horses have different personalities than people who do not own horses.  This is why so many non horse-loving men have a hard time understanding their horse loving women and even men who love and own horses themselves may have a hard time understanding their horse loving women.  This is because men and women usually have different reasons for owning horses.

Many men who own horses have them for reasons other than women.  Most men who own horses enjoy them because of the adventure and thrill that can be achieved with riding a horse.  Many men who own horses do not simply ride them around in a pasture at a leisurely walk and talk to them like women do.  Instead, men who own horses usually attend different competitions like rodeos.  This is because men enjoy the adrenalin rush that they get when their horse is running as fast as they can chasing down a calf that the man is focused on roping.

There are also men who do not own horses, but still enjoy them.  These are the men that ride saddle broncs and bareback at rodeos.  These men take pride and get their thrills in knowing that they can ride the rankest bucking horses in the pen.  How many women do you know that wants to spend time with their horses chasing calves or riding bucking horses?

Another way that men can enjoy the thrill of owning horses without ever sitting on them is by owning a race horse.  This is one way that men can own a horse and enjoy them without actually having to do any of the dirty work like grooming and cleaning stalls.  These men take pleasure in being able to say that they own a horse and watching their horse win a horse race.

Women have a very different view of horses then men.  Women like to spend time with their horses to relax, not to get excited and possibly hurt.  A woman could easily spend an entire day in their barn grooming and talking to their horses and when a woman does go for a horseback ride, they usually will not be running as fast as they can.  Instead, most women enjoy taking their horses out for a relaxing trail ride through the trees and listening to the birds.

Most women who own horses do not want to own a race horses because they do not have direct contact with them like they would with a pleasure horse.  Women, unlike men, enjoy taking care of the horse.  This includes grooming and cleaning stalls.  This is probably due to a woman's nature.  Many women are mothers and they feel that their horse is a part of their family and they feel like they are responsible for every aspect of that horse’s life.

Even though there are couples where both the man and woman own a horse, there will be different reasons that each person owns the horse and this is all due to their unique horse loving personalities.
