December is the month of graduation for many students and also a great time to begin scoping out possible internships for those students in school. I recently ran across a great reference that I had forgot about and anybody interested in equine writing, publishing, journalism, etc. should check this out.
The American Horse Publications offers a guide to college students every year. This guide is chock full of internships related to the equine publishing world. These are also great for college students or recent graduates who have an interest in journalism and writing but are not agriculture or equine majors. For those of you who are agricultural journalism majors, first of all you are lucky your school offers such a degree and second of all you have hit a jackpot with this guide.
The guide featues a description of all the major internships, many of which are with major publications and equine associations as well as if you receive college credit, room and board and their contact information and where to find an application. This is an excellent resource to students and professors that teach these students. The guide can be found at the American Horse Publications website.
