Rowdy is almost a year old and stands 13 hands. We started him with saddling and he took right to it. Tighted it and all. No rear or buck, then we added 5lb weights to each
stirrup and again he stood and walked around as if he didn't care. Then added 10lb weight in a saddle bag over the center of the saddle. No bucking, just stood and looked at it. LOL.
We put a total of 20lb on him and he was a perfect gentleman. I was shocked. I was looking for him to freak out.
I was working with him yesterday with teaching him neck reining, and after 5 mins he understood what I wanted. I just hooked reins to his halter for this.
He now lets you clean his hoofs, and pick up his feet without bowing. LOL.
