I love Haflingers (of course, because the love of my life is one) and I think that they are excellent horses. They are smart and tough and know exactly how to manipulate you, but once you earn their respect and trust, you could never find a more loyal, gentle, sweet, obedient, and hard working animal that is really a push over. But I wouldn't suggest that an inconsistent, extremely timid person that lets them do whatever they want get one. Haflingers just know when they can push a person who owns them around and neither of them will be happy. But, once they respect you, they are awesome and will do anything for you.
I speak from experience.

Others that are noteworthy are Gypsy Vanners and Andalusians.

Morgans and Appaloosas are great for some people, but for all the ones that I have met, I've never been able to click with any of them.

I hope you pick a breed that fits YOU!

Merry CHRISTmas!
