Probably the Australian waler.
This horse was purpose bred to hande the tough outback conditons of Australia.
They were between 15.2 to 16 hand. Solid coloured. Strong hindquarters, short backs and good shoulder and neck. these horses excelled in the first world war and were the horses used in the charge of beersheba. After crossing the desrt without water for 24 hours they galloped for over 1 mile into the guns of the turks. The weight they carried, soldier, equipment etc was an averge of 18 stones (254 pounds)
The last one I rode was a cattle horse named SNOOK. Brilliant stock horse that worked all day.
Unfortunatley they have all been bred out and no matter what people say they are a gone breed. There are people breeding so called walers but they do not conform to the true waler of the 1890's to the1970's.
