I don't have any exprience with this. But I think that it is a wonderful idea! It would give the cats somewhere safe they could live when otherwise they would always be in danger. But I have to agree with ACCER about their breeding. You might find a vet that would be willing to do it at a discount though. Some vets will fix feral cats for free in some places.
