My dear Vesta will be turning 19 next month.. She has kidney disease, hyperthyroid, and a heart murmur. I have been treating her for 10 years now.. No one ever thought that she would make it this long.. Dang this girl is amazing??? I shave her in the spring as she is long haired cat.. not that she gets matted but I did this three years ago just for fun..lol but noticed how much more comfortable she was.. So I kept doing doing it..and each time I noticed a big difference in her.. Instead of all the time it would take to clean herself she is out and about exploring.. Oh did I mention she is about 99% blind and getting about the same in deafness..Each day I have with her is a blessing.. I brought this wonderful girl home when she was 5 weeks old...
