well, i don't know what that says for my seat, but thank you. i've always loved the apps. endurance. only horses i've ever ridden much were apps or quarter crosses. and the apps always seemed to be damn near tirless. freind of mine that really got me into riding owned a sorrel app name of tequilla. one black spot on his right flank size of a silver dollar and one dime sized white spot on his left flank. otherwise just looked like a sorrel QH. white blaze on his face and white socks on his rear legs. wonderful horse. taught many people how to ride. he was 25 yrs. old when i first rode him. he hadn't been out for a month or so at the time. she wanted him ridden to keep him in some semblance of shape. went with them to a local park called camp croft. alot of pretty steep hills and hollows. rode at a fast walk for a couple of miles, when we came upon a pretty steep, long hill. lots of roots and it was pretty rocky footing. the old horse was nimble and sure footed all the way to the top. once we got there all the horses half his age or less needed a breather. i swear i think he was just getting warmed up. after that i rode a near 16 hand marbled app called oreo for a while. big ol' jug headed thing, but one of my favorite sayings is "pretty ain't everything". great old horse. never shied from anything and was always ready to go. i wanted a horse like the both of them, and luckily found that in cisco. he can be a bit hardheaded at times, but i can forgive him that for his willingness to go and abillity to learn quickly. he's not the fastest thing out there, and he'll never be any kind of show horse. but, i'll say this... if i could only ever have one horse for the rest of my life, it'd be him. i'm a trail rider, and i feel like i've got the best trail horse anyone could ever ask for. he's fearless, and seemingly tireless.
