An Indian Hacamore is simalar to a regular Hack. You can attatch it to your headstall where you would normally put your bit. And then you clip your reins to the rings that will hang down. The way it works is that when you pull on either side, the oppisite side tightens and causes your horse to turn. And when you pull back it causes them to stop. I have used it on almost all my horse. My 3 year old buckskin stallion was a terror to ride until i put an Indian Hack on him. Now hes a perfect gentleman. I have also used it to teach my horses to back, slide to a stop, neck rein, and sidepass. They really are great and they arent as harsh on the bridge of a horses nose as a regular Hack. Hope I have helped. Good Luck.
