You might contact local Veterinary colleges. They are always on the cutting edge of things and they may know of a procedure or medicine to help. Best of luck to you, I know how tough it can be to have to make "the tough decision" as I had to do it with my favorite cat of all time a year and a half ago -- he had an aggressive small cell cancer.
