Must be a mare thing. I had one she was a little bit on the sensitive side so don't know if it will work for yours. I always try cheap first. Gallon jugs-milk,bleach,water... filled with something noisy[rocks]. Used baling twine, we all have that, tied at various lengths and distance from ground and each other, once she got over just going in the stall she only tried kicking a few times. Stopped completely even safe going to overnight shows and stableing next to horses she didn't know.
