Uh, I thought homozygous meant that the genes were the same?

For example, a the genotype for blue eyes would be "bb", so it would be homozygous. That's because the gene for blue eyes is recessive.

However, the genotype for brown eyes could be either "BB" or "Bb", because the gene for brown eyes is dominanat. So, this would be heterozygous.

Whether the gene is dominant or recessive, it can be passed onto the offspring either way, P8ntCrazy.

Homogenous means the same... uh, genes, maybe? Not quite sure. Check the internet, maybe that will give you a clearer definition.
