Of course I love my Jackson, and gaited IMO is the way to go if you have ANY physical issues, but if I didn't I'd love to have some of the bigger cob-type breeds. I also belong to a forum based it the UK mostly and I've fallen in love w/the chunky coblets,lol.
I always thought it'd be awesome to cross and try for a large gaited breed. A Friesian breeder and I once discussed crossing a large Rocky w/a smallish Friesian, wouldn't that be an excellent cross?
However, w/the horse industry as it is today I would do some research and go for something in demand and concentrate on well bred, well trained horses of that breed. A lot of people are losing their butts right now.
