My Shoez
I was trying to think of the things that I use on my horse, that are really important to me, but I don't really use a special pad or bit or bridle or anything else. So I guess I really only thought of one thing, My Shoez.
My horse used to paw so terribly that I was pretty paranoid about where I tied him up. If I took him somewhere and wanted to leave him for a while I had to load him back up or risk him beating up the trailer or digging a hole. You would probably not be surprised by how many people get mad if your horse digs a hole in their driveway. Anyways, a friend told me about My Shoez. I guess she had a horse that paced in his stall really bad and they fixed that.
I had tried to hobble him once before but that just made a big wreak and he can still do some damage to a trailer just by hopping. I figured it couldn’t hurt so I ordered a pair from the website. I decided to try them at home first, of course. The second he went to pawing I walked over and slipped them on, right to begin with he was pretty darn annoyed at them but after a while he seemed to be fine with them. He was still trying to paw but I just left him there for a couple of hours while I did barn chores. When I got back to him, he was just standing there! I haven’t really had any problems with him pawing since. I don’t even have to keep the shoes on him all the time, if he starts trying to paw again I simply slip them back on and he stops immediately.
Has anyone else tried them? I am curious because I have never heard anyone mention using them before my friend mentioned it to me!
