I haven't measured him. I think he is about 16 hands. I've got so many old injuries that when it hurts I'm not sure if it's a new one?? No broken bones. Next time no show sheen. That was the most slippery seat in my life!! I adopted an older horse, so nothing phases him. Picture below. I stand 6 ft. so that gives you a better idea of his size. I still want a shire some day. But no stall strong enough for one.
