They forgot to mention Jockeys/Exercise Riders:
Jockeys/Exercise Riders are typically standing at a whopping 4'2" tall who sport colorful silks and whips who don't speak a word of English. When they ride, their knees are just about touching their chins and often are told they are at fault when their horse doesn't win the race. They often get the "I could have rode that horse better then you" line from folks who have never been on a racehorse, while they are limping back to the barn with a broken ankle from the day before. Mean while the Jockey/Exercise Riders think to themselve, why don't get on it and ride it then. Jockeys/Exercise Riders are often viewed as, the horse does all the work, they are just along for the ride! (rolls eyes)
The Horses:
QuarterHorseWhoFlipsInTheGate. Now this horse has a talent for gymnastics. While standing in the gate waiting for the other horses to load, he pulls the up and over move, tossing the jockey off the back, while upside down in the gate. Naturally, all the other horses have to be backed out of the gate, while they try and free QuarterHorseWhoFlipsInTheGate. Once freed, the vet looks at him and scratches him from the race and he goes prancing back to the barn thinking "na na na na, I don't have to run".
(True story, it happeneds alll the time)
