Default Cost?

What does it cost for a Medium Entry Dressage Horse? Say Saddle, Clothes, all the basic gear.

And do I have to drink Tea?

I have seen horses form low-high, and they all seem to have it all together.

Hoo-wee! Cost for dressage...well, like hunters and probably western pleasure, you can spend a wide range in outfitting. There's different ways of trying the lowest levels of dressage at schooling shows, and I believe you can sometimes get away with an all purpose saddle. And I think that may go for eventing as well. But it's not common around here, so people will outfit with:
a black dressage saddle, costing anywhere from $800-$3500. I bought all of my dressage saddles used and got very nice ones for $800. Though my favorite is my wintec isabell that I got for $650 before they went to the "cair" panels. Cair panels now up the wintec isabel to $900 even though it's not leather. Hah!
a black dressage bridle. I bought one for under $200
a bit approved for dressage (simple snaffles) $30-$80
a black dressage coat. You can't interchange the dressage and hunter coats as they are cut differently and have one button difference. Spend under $200 for a new one, but you could go crazy and buy them for over $400.
black dressage boots. Funny but they too are also different from the hunter dress boots with no laces. These typically have spanish tops. They can run about $450 to $899. But, again, I bought mine used for $180.
the shirt can be a standard white show blouse...$40, maybe less if you're lucky.
Stock tie. (Looks great...you can get pre-tied or not). Can run $23-$35.
White breeches...full seat or not. Full seat is more expensive. That's when the sueded knee grip runs up to your butt to give you greater grip in the saddle. The only thing I can say is shop around for these because white is NOT forgiving, and if they're too thin, you'll feel naked. If you're going to spend the bucks, this might be where to consider not scrimping because see-through white breeches are NOT a pretty sight. Can run $89-$225 or more.
White dressage saddle pad...$45-$190. (At schooling shows, beige may be ok, but I would check with the particular show.)
white gloves. $35-$50
The horse...I've seen it all...$80,000 to $125,000 warmbloods or $2500 thoroughbreds and quarter horses. I've even seen $45,000 for an untried warmblood, 4 years old. HIgh cost does not mean it's a great horse. That's when your desire and research really come into play. I would rather have a conformationally correct, uphill built horse that has naturally freely forward movement and is green than anything else. I also think that when built correctly and with correct basic training, any horse should be able to perform training level dressage, regardless of his discipline. (My western reining instructor had all of his quarter horses in training level dressage, and they looked fantastic.) Just study some videos to see what is required of the horse and remember "forward, soft, slightly rounded frame, tracking up, reaching for the rider's hands, flexion at the poll, submissiveness."

Default Dressage cost

Pretty close although save money on;
Plain white tee shirt/turtle neck with stock tie
White is only for recognized or upper level biege is fine and you can use your hunt coat @ smaller shows. Same for gloves they can be black.
