Default No Dressage Members?

I really would like to learn more about dressage or first off read about it. Aren't there any members in here yet that do dressage?

Share and post some picks. I know you see all the "pros" do it but to see a local member on here would be really cool I think.

Well until someone comes out and shares I think I will continue with my research. I just don't know if I could hang my cowboy hat up for any length of time for one of those

But man those are some very impressive mounts.

I'm supposed to be joining a Dressage group with my mum, every Friday they all meet up at a barn and show different Dressage movements, and give tips and talk through everything about it. My mum want's me to start doing Dressage with my Andalusian Stallion, he's been schooled for Dressage, but I just havn't done it with him yet. I did do a few Dressage tests in college though, to train up a horse for a Dressage competition on one of the weekends, it was completly my first time, but I apparently did very well, and I was really chuffed. So I would really like to do and learn more about it.

Hi,
I just started taking lessons and my trainer teaches the art of classic riding. She studied with Erik Herbermann one of the best classic riding teachers.
Check out her web side it is really helpful and you will understand your horse much better.

Default Cool A Dressage Person!!

Share pump some photos up in the gallery section and in horsephotos.. I see them online but it would be nice to actually hear and read about it. My wife is looking for a hunter jumper and her friend is looking for a dressage.

Probably going overseas for a horse she thinks and my wife is going along for the ride. Good grief their goes my savings. I hope she finds a 2 year old.

Would be great for her she deserves it.

Posted a few pics in the gallery.
See if you can talk them into buying American, save a bunch of money and get a better horse. The Germans aren't going to sell their top string, they know how to stay competitive. The ones they sell to us are the rejects.

Default No Hope

My wife friends is a vets wife and they have so called "contacts". So wife has pulled hubby to go with them and let him use his friends equipment to vet them out. So really sound decent to me.. a 2 year old for 7-9 k plus shipping.. into the states.. I have plenty of friends for transport.

But this is a once in a lifetime shot.. and the vets wife has a 30-50 k ticket for a pure.

My credit card isn't that high. But she will get a nice horse for what we are going to do.

Nice picks I like them. Thanks for sharing.

Wish I had more friends that liked forums I could a hundred dollars towards the shipping fee.

Hi "Lone Ranger"!
I'm new here and just read your thread...i'm a dressage instructor.
A lot of people get confused by the term "dressage"....dressage is nothing more than refining the basics by using as subtle aids as possible.
Most of my students (even the ones who've been riding for a long time) have no idea how to ride with their seat instead of their hands...while this is the way you SHOULD ride, doesn't matter if you ride western, dressage or jumping!
I'm from Holland and moved to the States 2 years ago...i was shocked about the fact that jumping, western and dressage are seen here as COMPLETELY different things (by A LOT of people).
It shouldn't make a difference what saddle you're in... all the basics are the same!
A jumper should be able to control a horse by using his seat instead of his hands and that counts for all the disciplines!

If anyone will make a comment about this...PLEASE!
I'd LOVE to know your thoughts about this cause sometimes i feel like i speak Chinese to people about this !

Hi, I do dressage. That is what I am training the horse I ride to do. Although some find it boring,I like it,it shows how close you can be to the horse without having to use your hands but your seat instead. Maybe I will post some pictures when me and the horse I ride enter our next show. It will definately be a dressage show.

Let it be known: you're not speaking Chinese to me! That was a great post. I feel quite the same way. It should not make a difference whether you are sittin' in a western sadddle, an english saddle, or riding bareback. You should can still be a proper horseman and communicate what you want to your horse in whichever discipline you love.
