Talking !!!!!!!!!new Baby!!!!!!!

My friends QH mare finally foaled last night at 10pm, she had a fine strong colt. As of last night he is chestnut with the only white being on his face. When I go back over this afternoon I will have to see if there is any signs of him being a roan. We had a 50/50 shot of him looking like his daddy ROYAL BOONSMAL.

Well one down one to go. My paint mare is due March 26th, and I can't wait to see what hits the ground.

The great thing is my friends mare and mine are on the web so even if we are not around at least someone is watching. That way we can get a little sleep at night instead of none.

I will try to get some pictures posted of him If I can remember how to do it.

But you should be able to see him live at www.foalingcams.com then go to Due Dates and click on the cam for Riata.

Awww baby!!! Do you have any photo's that you could share?!?!

And I'm guessing it's a Peptoboonsmal grandbaby then with a sire's name like that??

I would KILL to get my hands on a service fee by that boy, but alas, I don't have THAT much money!! LOL

Defiantely want some photo's if you can manage it!!

I'm laughing here... it's your friend's horse, but YOU sound like a proud Mama! Can't wait to see pictures. I will try to check out the webcam during daylight hours (it's the middle of the night now).

Cheryl,

You could I'm his aunt. Last year was the first year my friend foaled out mares and she had 2 mares that foaled 2 days apart. She is a dear friend and the mare's colt from last year I got to deliver and it was born on my birthday, So I was there when she bred her back and I helped deliver this foal. It is a good thing we live only 2 acres apart. My friend is just as excited for my mare to foal.

"Harley" (his barn name) is a red roan colt, His hip has a lot of frosting and if you run your hands through his coat it is full of white hairs.

Dream Merch.,

Peptoboonsmal is his granddaddy, his sire is Royal Boonsmal. Being in Aus. You would have to do frozen semen, if you didn't have a stallion down there.

I will have to check and see if she has any pictures of him posted on her website.
If not I will have to go get some and figure out how to post them on here again.

Now we are in a holding pattern again, my mare is not due till the 26th of this month. I just hope she is on time this year and not 2 weeks late.
