Default Natural Horsemanship

I don't want to start a controversy but I wanted to hear some opinions on who is a good natural horsemanship trainer or a good clinician to attend. In my area, I've only seen really bad instruction from self-designated natural horseman. The big guys don't come here for clinics, so we get local yokels who maybe attended a clinic or two. That means we have to travel signifcantly far for a clinic. I won't name names, but in discussing some of the more well known natural horsemen, a bunch of us had the same experiences with the followers of a well known natural horseman technique but in different barns. The experiences were the same, however, that those people tended to be very rude, indifferent to the safety of others in the ring with them and were using gimmicks and gadgets that didn't seem to be making a positive result. Maybe it's the people and not the system, but it still makes me hesitate and not attend that particular type of clinic. Who do you suggest for natural horsemanship clinics?

Curt Pate is on the AQHA regional experience trail this year doing clinics. He seems pretty good. I haven't been able to go to many clinics myself. They don't hold them here very often and if they do I don't know about it until its too late. I just read everybody's methods and use what works best with my horses.
