Thats where I consider myself to be not experenced enough to be confident using spurs. Don't need the horse to take off with me hanging on for dear life

Hi I seem to be having a little trouble with this site it is appearing on wide screen and I do mean wide. Makes it a little dificulte to post when scrolling from one side of the screen to the other and beyound.
I have warn a type of spur don,t know the name but it is a wrap around of steel on the heal of my boot. Does not stick into the horse but presents a hard surface. However I tend to forget to put them on.

My riding is general trekking which I believe could be known by another name endurance.

The site has now gone back to normal size

Cheers
Stan

That is if you know what you'r doing. The wrap around I use wontt hurt the horse and I can't by mistake kick the horse so no problems. I don't feel confident enough to use spurs that have any more protruding from them than what I have already described. For my part it would be to easy to forget kick a little hard then have to hang on.

Hay any one else having trouble with this site loading up in extra wide screen or is it an excuse to by a new computer.

I now have the status of ground broke is that what happens when owning a horse, they do require more money than a dog.

Horse float $20,000. truck to tow it $30,000 land for it to wander over I also live on the land so Ill only charge it a yearly rental $2,000
Hay and special feed for a year another $1,500 A barn for it to shelter from the rain $10,00 and then there is saddle and tack $4,000 finally how much did you pay for the horse. $5,000

Total for the the honour of owing an animal that behaves like a spoilt teenager and bucks one off then runs off into the sunset.

$72,500 would you believe that. Work out your own costs for the privilage of owning a horse, no wonder I now have the status of ground broke.

Spurs no I don't need them, but that may be because I am not on long enough to use them.
