Most stallions would be more than happy to cover ANY mare in heat... the questions are many such as:
  • What do you hope to produce?
  • Do you have a mare that SHOULD be reproducing?
  • Does she have breeding, temperment and confirmation that you want to pass on to a foal?
  • Is she healthy and sound (meaning she will pass on those traits -- an injured mare can still produce wonderful foals)?
  • Would saving a foal from a rescue provide you with the same need for a cute fuzzy baby?

What are you looking for? What are you looking to spend? Hundreds of questions that need to be asked and answered. Then it will be time to look for a stallion. But would be happy to help
