Talking Going to a show!!

I have been exercising/finishing a good friends 2-4 yr olds, because she is physically not capable(needs knee replacement). She doesn't pay me, but I enjoy the riding as well as the training.

Last night I was there riding a beautiful red chocolate 4 yr old filly named Kentucky Taffy. Shes a lot of fun and has an extra smooth gait. While I was riding in the arena, she was watching and offering advice. Out of nowhere she asked if I would like to ride Taffy and a few others in a show June 20th! Of course I said yes!
I need the experience for my horse next year, and plus it's a lot of fun. I'll be riding Taffy, King Tut(one of my favorites cuz he's a gorgeous dark chocolate and the sweetest guy ever w/a VERY flashy high-stepping gait), and Brandy( a very sweet but skittish red chocolate), and hopefully her stallion Travler. Can you tell I'm excited?!lol.

Also on a somber note, I am having an epidural steroidal injection into my spine tomorrow to try and lessen the chronic back pain I've had for years.(I have a herniated disc, 2 bulging dehydrated discs, arthritis in my facets, and the curve of my back is too shallow) I have never had anything like this and am very nervous. The doctor said I may not be able to use my legs well for a few hours after! So, keep your fingers crossed for me and wish me luck!!!!

I'll have to get some good pics this weekend of the horses I'll be riding so you can see!!

Good luck at the horse show! I hope the injection you have tomorrow produces good results. I have off-and-on pain from osteo-arthritis in my knees, hips, and lower back so I can sympathize. Best wishes!
