Default Somebody STOP me!!!

Help!! I cannot justify another horse, I don't need another horse, I don't have time for another horse. But.... there is this really nice yearling stud that goes back to Man O' War and King and Three Bars, and he is CHEAP!! Ha, I say cheap. I'll have a thousand dollars into him or more by the time he's ready to ride.
Hubby is no help. He says he'll go hook up the trailer.
Somebody stop me!!!
Help!!

Oooh, I definitely understand where you're coming from!!! Personally, when I feel the sting of the new horsey bug I try to put everything into perspective.

Can I afford another horse and still be able to do the things I need to do?

Will my other horses suffer if I bring in a new one?

Will I be able to put enough time into the new horse to do it justice?

That said, if you still can't get it out of your head go get him! If you can't keep him forever you could at least give him a good start in life and try to find a good home for him. (Since it'll be a few years before he's finished under saddle you might even be able to make a little extra cash).

Can't help you.
Saturday, I went with clients in search of their new horse.
They came home empty handed, I own a $150 driving pony.
And just for humor, I own the sweatshirt that has 4 lines of;
" I do NOT need another horse"
Everything happens for a reason, my philosphy, give up you just can't win.
Good Luck.

Not of the prospect, but I have others!!!

I also have a 4 year old QH gelding, who I put about 45 days on last summer and this summer, Gotta put some miles/experience on.
