Default Equine Terms

I thought it would be a really cool idea to compile a list of words or even slang to contribute to get people who haven't been around horses that long. Or even a different type of riding style has there own language. What do you think? My first contribution would be.

Center Fire: A wester saddle that has the cinch hung from center.

Twitch: A strick with a small rope or chain on the end that is tied around a horse's nose to keep them quiet and secure to give the handler ability to do as they wish with their horse.

Frog: an amphibian. Haha, no ok seriously: the V-shaped pad in center-back of the horse's hoof.

Halflinger: Not a Whole-linger. Ok so I'm being silly tonight!

: A breed of horse, particularly Palomino in color, Originally from 12.2 to 14.3hh tall (but Now I am seeing them taller). They have the appearance of a small Belgian.

Forging or Interfering Rear feet strike the backs of front feet while in motion.

Trail Walk Relaxed flat walk on loose rein.(Rocky Mountain shows)

Show Gait Slow, smooth amble/rack between Trail Walk and Pleasure Gait.

Pleasure Gait Fastest Gait. Still smooth but not as smooth as Show Gait, normally has a lot more animation.

Saddle Seat Style of riding, most commonly found in gaited horses(Saddlebreds, RMH, TWH, etc..). Rider wears knee length coat, jodhpurs(not the extra tight ones, they look like dress pants), vest, gloves, jodhpur boots, a mens style tie, and a derby. Horse fitted with English style tack.
