Default Any Gardeners in this bunch?

What are you planting in your garden this year? I am planting everything.
Here's my list:
corn
carrots
radishes
tomatoes
lettuce
peppers
cantalope
watermelon
green beans
peas
zuchini
yellow squash
onion

Just to name a few.
The previous owners had a huge compost pile. Should I put it on my garden and till it in? Then let it sit and till some more before I plant?

I guess nobody here is planting a garden this year. I managed to get mine tilled some more but then we had snow and cold yesterday, cold today and a blizzard tomorrow. I have spring fever so bad.

Wow, you're having a huge garden. I'm going to plant green beans, green peppers, cucumbers, and tomatoes. That's all I have room for.

I think you're supposed to till the composte in right before you plant. That's what I do anyway. I also fertilize with mircle grow later on in the season. That stuff really works.

Not much going in the ground this year. Maybe the strawberries. A few sticks of corn and the regular veggies.

But keeping it small. You can only give away so many Zucchini!

Default Tips

I just don't have good luck with starting plants inside. Since we have a short growing season I try to give some of the plants a head start but I can't seem to keep them alive once they sprout. Any ideas? Do I need to transplant them into bigger containers when they get to a certain height?
