Hey I was watching some racing late last night and was wondering what the fastest time for a quarter horse is now. IF I remember correctly GO MAN GO has a 21.7 or 8 in the 440 and held many others.

But surely todays training and horses are smoking, but I can make a good search for it.

Were do I go or better yet who is the fastest now a days? I don't watch racing much or gamble just very interested.

Well, considering I work at a mainly QH race track, I can help out and answer this one.

In 2003 there was a filly named 'AB What A Runner' who set a track record of 440 yards at :20.993 seconds to record the first sub-21 second quarter-mile in Ruidoso Downs track history and the first by a 2-year-old anywhere.

In 2005 there was a 3yo colt named 'Ocean Runaway' who set a track record of 400 yards at :21.205 seconds at Los Alamitos Race Course and went on to become the 2005 Champions to Champions winner for the year!

Also great racehorses of the present as 'Be A Bono', 'DM Chicago', 'FDD Dynasty' (earnings over $94k), 'No Secrets Here' (2006 earnings over $1.3mil)
