How many of you out there with only one horse have a mule to keep it company? Did you find it helped or could you tell a difference? I have a Great Dane and she is my horse's companion to some degree. They nuzzle and the first thing she does when she goes out each day is run out to check on Temper.

But, I've read that mules are good companion animals for horse. Just wondered what you all thought.
