Have ya'll seen the newer horse books for teens and pre-teens? I keep meaning to get one to see how it reads. They've also re-written or updated the books like National Velvet and Storm and such and I wonder if they read like the next generation Nancy Drew books? Those are too silly for me. I use to love the Nancy Drew books and the changes they've made to update them have made the characters weak and silly. I'm hoping I won't find the same thing when I read the classic horse books.

Anyone read any of them or looked through them yet?

I didn't realize that they have "upgraded" some of the old classics. Thanks for that bit of info, I'm going to have to check them out and share with my step-daughters!
