Default Dirt Lot

I have some friends who have their horses on dirt up in fresno and feed them pretty heavy oats, hay, supplements.

And I have some extra pasture room and they need some help right now. But that can't be good just switching their diet that fast. I mean they would have to regulated. How much should I allow them to graze a day? For how long. I am thinking maybe 20 minutes?

I want to help but I don't want to kill the horse. Any advice before I answer woud be great. I hope they find someone else just because I don't want anything to happen to their horses.

Other than the dirt corral they have it pretty nice. So its not like neglect.

Thanks again guys and gals.
