My dream horse--although I'll probably never be able to get one--is a Friesian. There's definitely a reason they're so popular.

Mhmm, Freisians are really beautiful.
I still have a weak spot for Wielkopolski horses
Fond memories and all that.

I really like to have Quarter Horses or Quarter Horse crosses for riding western but I've always like drafts and Friesans and Gypsy Vanners. I couldn't say I could do much with riding them but I think it would be a lot of fun to own one.

I love Draft horses in general. And my dream horse to own is a Shire. I love the large powerful animals.

Of course I love my Jackson, and gaited IMO is the way to go if you have ANY physical issues, but if I didn't I'd love to have some of the bigger cob-type breeds. I also belong to a forum based it the UK mostly and I've fallen in love w/the chunky coblets, lol.
I always thought it'd be awesome to cross and try for a large gaited breed. A Friesian breeder and I once discussed crossing a large Rocky w/a smallish Friesian, wouldn't that be an excellent cross?
However, w/the horse industry as it is today I would do some research and go for something in demand and concentrate on well bred, well trained horses of that breed. A lot of people are losing their butts right now.

Greetings!!!
It is so fun to see how different people enjoy different breeds!
My favorite is the American Paint horse, more than "QH with color" they are unique and special and offer fantastic dispositions.
Cheers!
