Wink Gypsy Vanner

Hi All,

I want to know about Gypsy Vanners.
They are my dream horse and im set out to get one once i move.
Im 13.
But im wondering what are your opinions on them ?
A Information page on them would be great!
I am looking for a Breeder in the Manitoba Area but havent had luck so anywhere close that isnt far of a driving distance would even be great.
Im Pretty much looking for an already broke to ride Gypsy Vanner.
One that isnt SUPER expensive as i know that there are alot that are really expensive.

THank you.

Gypsy Elite -Elite Gypsy Horses in Bend, Oregon

Pelton Vanner - Breeders of the Gypsy Vanner Horse, known as the gypsy horse, gypsy cob and gypsy vanner In Florida

I'm familiar with both breeders and can tell you they are wonderful people! I'm especially fond of Gypsy Elite and got to watch one of their mares foal earlier this month on web cam. I've been drooling over their Stallion, Sligo.

I know neither are very close, but if you are seriously in the market to purchase a horse, try contacting them. They might know someone near you that has a Gypsy for sale.

I absolutly love the breed! I am going to begin breeding Gypsy Drum once I graduate from college! I would love to help you out once I get my program started!! But if you google the breeders of the breed then there should pop up links to help you out!

Good luck!

Default Gypsy Vanners

I own two Gypsy Vanners. They are great horses. I ride mine bareback. Very comfortable. I lead my yearling with my three year old on her. They are very calm horses. I am in Coeur d' Alene Idaho. My yearling is for sale. She will be broke and trained to ride by this coming 2009 spring. She is coming along very smoothly. Check out my web page.

Howdy SparklingGlory!

I'm not sure where you are located or how far you want to search, you can check out my friend's site: Amazing Grace Farm - 1k
She has two Gypsy Stallions, one is Palomino, the other is a Dapple Grey pinto (she may have a few mares). She also has Friesians. I have neighbors that breen and raise Gypsy Cobs also...

Hope that helps.

Gypsy Vanners are some of the if not the most beautiful of horses. I love there look, so bold and arrogant. I would love to have one but at my age and walking ability I will have to stick with my lil mini man ShotGun heheh

Default Pig Oil

I have a Gypsy Vanner, and have just heard about the benifits of using Pig oil on their hairy feet. For a detangler, to promote hair growth, prevent hair breakage, and to keep the mud off. I just cannot find it locally. I read that Pig oil was actually paraffin oil. So, I have some lamp oil that is 99% paraffin oil. Can I use this? How would it be different from the stuff I can buy over seas?

Can anyone help me?

Talking

When I had my Vanner I used CowBoy magic, I use it for everything!
Its amazing & on the cheap side.

You can use it anywhere there is mane like hair. It shines, repels dust & dirt, & its a great de-tangler.

I hope you try it & like it!
