This is my 2 yr old stallion prospect,I had him tested at animal genitics....he is hypp n/n, lwo n/n, agouti aa, sabino 1 nn, red factor Ee. I was thinking of getting his statis changed from tobiano to tovero(which i think he is). APHA said i can send in recent pics and appeal, Is it worth it? He has white over back and under belly, lower lip white,2 blue eyes, lots of white on face. roaning on hips and shoulders.
His dad is tobiano and his mom is overo. Also is it possible to be homozygous tobiano with an overo parent?
He sure looks like he could go either way. Is certainly close. The blue eyes are a Tovero characteristic, as well as the lower lip markings, and the two-toned tail.
A homozygous tobiano, TT, receives one colored gene from each parent, and in order for a horse to be homozygous, it must have two tobi parents. A homozygous tobiano, TT, received one colored gene from each parent.

judging from just looks yes he looks like a typical Appendix. I enjoy the english sport, especially Jumping and TB's have a fairly well rep. in this discipline but I do LOVE my QH's, so an Appendix is good for me.
