Default Araloosas

We have had some interest in crossing our ApHC stallion to Arabian mares. We are actually looking at doing it this year (2007 season) for a reduced fee to Arabian mares to see what they produce. I know the cross makes one heck of an endurance horse - and I have seen them sell for quite high prices for various disciplines...but I am curious to see what the overall opinion is.

Wouldn't that be something to see one with the conformation of an Arabian, but the coloring of a Appy???? Oh man, I would love to see that!

This is a blend of the stamina, spirit, and the fire of the Arabian, plus the durability, dispostion, and color of the Appaloosa. The Araloosa is thought by many to be a re-blending of blood and legend that was intertwined in olden times. The Araloosa horse is suitable for many disciplines--from the modern halter showring to the endurance trails to the dressage ring to western ranch work, Araloosas excell, and their scintillating spotted coat patterns ensure they stand out from the crowd.

Wow.... thank you so much for the description!!! I have certainly heard of Arabians and Appaloosas, but to hear of the Araloosa is just amazing.
Does anyone have a photo of one? Sounds like an Araloosa is truly the best of both breeds.
