Default MY Ali

My horse Ali, was 30 years old. I got him 8 years ago from riding stable. He was still a stallion and at 22, he would never forget being one, so we left things as they were. He didn't get the best of care where he was, the farmer sold him to us for $200, thinking the horse wouldn't last 6 months. Well Ali had the last laugh, he outlived the farmer by 2 years.

Ali passed quietly over the rainbow bridge on 12/10/2007 around 8:30pm. He will be missed by my entire family. I have been around alot of horses, but never around a stallion that would let kids ride him, even though there were mares in another paddock that he could see. He was the calmest, most easy going horse I owned. I will miss him very very much. He is in a place where the grass is always green and your friends are always near you.

Goodbye my friend, see you soon.

Cindy

I know Cindy and knew Ali. The truth of matter is Ali at the riding stable was very thin & confined almost 100% in an unclean 8 x 10 stall due to his aggressive behaviour. When Cindy bought Ali she nursed him slowly back to a good weight and had nursed him through white line disease that Vetrinarians thought was so advanced that Ali would lose his hoof wall. Ali loved the attention after Cindy bought him. Ali grew from an unruly aggressive Arabian Stallion to a calm workable stallion under Cindy's tutelage. His attitude when housed in a small paddock vs a small stall was amazing! This goes to show that you earn your horse's trust in you...Cindy you are a HERO! Ali crossed the Rainbow Bridge and is in lush pastures forever because of you!

Thank you Cheryl,
Cntrycwgirl is a long time friend, she knows all the problems I had with Ali at the beginning. His best friend was a nanny goat, one night one of the other stallions got loose in the barn and she was in front of Ali's stall, this other stallion killed her. My poor Ali wouldn't eat for almost a week, I had to call a vet to come out and take a look at him. She gave me some meds and said to call back in a day or two if nothing changed. It did of course, I moved him shortly there after, due to the people at the barn not caring enough to be cautious with the stallions door locks.

He was a great friend, always listened, never really complained, and always let me cry on his shoulders. I really really miss him, he went so fast, I did not have time to get used to the idea, not that you really can.

Thank you for caring enough to say something, it means a lot to know others will remember him through me and my friends.
