Watch out for the scams in horse ads. I find alot in the Friesian section. Now not everyone searches for Friesians online (Unless you're looking just to drool over them as I do) but they are also in other breed ads as well. Listed as:

Adorable horse for adoption
100% Safe horse
Sometimes listed under 'mare' and ad description will state some other gender.
Best character
Started 'under the saddle'
Has strong nerves (a personal favorite of mine)
Has a lifetime registration
Friesian good for racing
Will be good for jumping, herding cows, and racing!

Sometimes the price is too good to be true (and usually is), and sometimes it seems accurate for the horse. While some ads will be obvious such as the creator's broken english throughout the description, some actually seem quite legit. But if they state that they cannot meet you in person (due to husband death, too busy at work etc) you know its a dirty scam.

yeah we get that over here in Oz too.. and your right its usually friesians here too.. though kids horses are a close second..
