There are many Indiana horses being picked up at the local salebarns by a middleman and then being sold to a man that takes them to shipshewanna indiana auction and puts them in the killer or loose pen. These horse are transported to a slaughter house in canada where they are tortured before finally being killed . I have seen
horrible videos of horses being shot in the eyes, mouth , ears, stabbed, beaten with cattle prods ect. Ponies lying on the floor of the semi dead from being trampled by the other victims. My message here is to please try to find a REAL home for your horse, or euthanize the horse if old or ill! Dont give it away to anyone that happens by and claims to be a recue or knows of someone wanting such a horse. We have this going on now at the sale barn located in Veedersburg indiana. Several local traders have jumped on the killer bandwagon and are making quick money. The man from up north comes in his aluminum trailier and picks up the traders killers. He in turn also makes quick money.
No horse deserves to die like this. I have 6 that were pulled from the killer pen are are the nicest horses! They are 100% sound, young to middleaged- not used up or old or ill.
I shudder to think what happens to all the others. Horses are companion animals not FOOD animals!!!!!!!!!! Please heed this message and take care of old Dobbin in his old age. Or the foal from the backyard mare. Or the pony the kids are too big to ride. You know what I mean. thanks for listening

there is never a justification for torture... that is barbaric and senseless.... I know that sometimes people dont have access to a place to put there horses down humanly and that is why they are send to the kill pens...

just so sad to see horses have to go through this .... sadly there will always be a people who just see equines as a way to make a quick buck.. wonder if it was a dog if they would see it in the say way???
