Hehe... interesting tale about Cheesecake and the origins of her name.
I have a very dear friend, online, who is sick with cancer. At most, he was given 3 years to live and he's just a young man. It's very tragic.
When he was ill and in the hospital, having all these tests done, he would get very scared and upset, so I would talk about my old cat and her crazy antics. When I had to put her to sleep, when she was diagnosed with intestinal cancer, it broke both our hearts so I promised him that, when I did go to get another cat, that he would help me pick a name for the cat.
He was taken back into the hospital again, when I went to the shelter and picked her up. Bringing her home, I snapped a couple of photos and sent them to him, and he informed me that he would think up her name and that he needed time. He took it very very seriously.
The next day, he tells me that she reminds him of Cheesecake, so that is the name that I gave her. We sometimes call her CeeCee for short. It's cute though, all our friends say she's our kid LOL.
