Default Goats

I have 3 pygmy goats that my hubby bought for my birthday Oct. 22 of this year. I am pretty sure the doe is bred, she has a kid at her side thats as big as she is and neither of them are tame at all. The buck is adorable and completely tame, he gives me kisses etc.
How do I keep their feet trimmed? I am so afraid of cutting them and making them bleed.
Thank you for any and all help!!

They sound so adorable! I don't know a ton about trimming goat's hooves, I think I could manage however. I am a Natural Barefoot Trimmer of horses. Here is one fairly easy-to-understand site if you're interested: How to Trim Goat hooves the right way
You can actually use regular horse hoof nippers also.

We have Saanen dairy goats. They are all white in color. Our main milker, and her three daughters. Peppermint, two years old and bred this fall, and weanling twins from this spring.

You saved me again, I have to get some clippers. I know their poor little feet need to be trimmed and I have to get it done. Will go to the feed store to see if I can get some nippers. Do you recommend any kind or a certain kind?
Thank you!

Awwh! I have 2 Boers 2 Fainters and a Nubian!

Get them nice and friendly with you, in your case since you have smalled goats they should be easier to hold onto.

You can tie them to a post (I usually have someone hold them while they're eating grain) And i slip the blade right under the curved part of the hoof.
Since hoof trimmers are pretty dang sharp, its fairly quick and painless to get done, but they will fight you once you get their legs of the ground.

You shouldn't be worried about cutting the animal, just be observant to what you are doing (:.

Hope it helps,
Anny
