Talking made my own "tack box"

Hey yall!

Well I found that it was hard to keep bringing things back & fourth to the barn

So I decided, heck I'll make a box for his brushes & halters

& here it is!

Really nice job!! I was lucky that my friend's dad made me a professional quality tack trunk as a kid and I still have it. It's great. My grandpa recently made me a couple of medicine boxes (still need to stain them) and a wooden saddle stand with a storage tray underneath for the back of my little SUV! It's great. I want to put handles on it so I can carry it right up to the barn (I ride several places, hence my saddle travels with me).

Great job! I had an old wooden trunk that was used and abused. I painted it turquoise and put Lady Bugs on it (Hey! It was the late 60's early 70's) I still have it with brushes and tack inside. It had a padlock on it as we had tackrooms that everyone could access. I carried my saddle around in the trunk -- no way I was leaving that baby there!

thanks everyone!
My saddle would totally not fit in it LOL!
It took me about three days to get it all done :P
I let Jolly see it & he kept opening & closing it haha

Now it has some mint cookies in there, & all I say is "Jolly go get a cookie"
& sure enough he opens it right up & grabs his snack hehe.
(except the time he took out his curry & started chewing on it)

:P
