Talking First time saddled!!

I'm so hyper about this!

Jolly had his first saddle on yesterday (the one I showed in my post awhile back)
girth & all was on him!

How did he do?
AMAZING!

He wore that saddle like a pro! I was expecting some rearing or atleast not wanting to move forward.

He led around the round pen five times & then I took it off

Thank you Mrs. Rector & Sylvia for helping me ^.^

Congrats!! It's so exciting isn't it!? Jackson wears his "clothes" every time I work him now, I want him to be VERY used to it when I go to start him(just waiting for my new saddle, my old one doesn't fit well). I have only recently been thru what you're doing so if you have any questions I'd be happy to help!

Great,
Take things slowly and 1 step @ a time.
The bucking, rearing, falling over, isn't the way breaking out should happen. Thats only real in the movies. SLOW,SLOW,SLOW.

Oh it's pretty real in real life too- but it shouldn't happen that way. I just got a halflinger stud to train and he's been doing wonderful with his ground work, and the round-pen communication and games I've been doing with him. I saddled him the other day, didn't get a buck, a crowhop, not even a jump! He was wonderful. Riding was the same. He is coming along very well...I'm so exited about him!
