Default Up to my ears in horse s***

I was looking for an alternative to storing my horse manure as I'm getting tired of looking at the unsightly piles in my field. I have tried composting before and it was so much work and I didn't have a whole lot of results. Someone mentioned to me something about aerated composting a guy developed out in Washington state in which you don't do anything to it but pile it into a storage bin and turn on the machine. I was kind of lookin around on the guy's site but I was wondering if anyone has actually used this thing. Let me know or drop me some suggestions!

Default Enzyme?

Is that the guy who give you the plans and an enzyme to ad to it and you just use it after 30 days for fertilizer?

I mean you can actually bag it and sell and make a pretty penny to the landscalpers, I mean scapers.

I read about it also and would like to know as I haven't invested in it or know anyone who has.

The way their website reads it sounds like you just keep the elements off the bin and force oxygen into the pile and it takes care of itself. I just filled out one of the applications on their site and apparantly someone will call you and fill you in on all the details and you can ask questions. I figure its worth callin to find out more info.

Default Keep Updated

It sure would be nice to have some more info on this kalaloch, keep us up to date, I have also seen this guys site and claims.

I thought it was different then just oxygen. Maybe it is a different set up. I am almost sure the one spud is talking about is the same one I saw.

It was him and his wife in the photo. And he was selling a bad of stuff you just added to the compost heap.

And then it was great fertilizer.

but keep me up to date.

Wow... this sounds really interesting! I always wondered what people did to get rid of all of the manure. I am so glad you posted this. I look forward to hearing about it.

How do you all rid yourselves of the piles of manure now?

Thumbs up

Today I posed a few questions to O2Compost's leading man, Peter Moon. And, being a pessimist, I take a little more convincing. However, the good news is that he informed me that they have a new employee who will be documenting work on the two different sizes of the aerated composting that they offer. The new guy will apparantly be building the smaller one and managing it and is currently helping to big a larger unit and will continue to manage that afterwards. He will be providing photographs and the like on a blog website. As soon as this is up and running I'll pass on the link.

I have seen people in the newspaper classifieds giving it away. Not sure if they had any luck or not. Not sure who would want it, but maybe you could post it for free somwhere. You never know.

True enough about giving it away. But why give away what you could sell?
