Default Squirrels

Anyone got a good cure for keeping squirrels from getting under the tack rooms?

We always have a couple that the dogs get not all the way and they must go under the tack shed to die. Man it stinks for weeks when you get one that croaks under there.

Is there anything that can be sprayed around or even under the tack room to get them from diggin under there?

Just a thought.. advice would help.

I don't know about stopping them from getting in but maybe but live traps inside. Then you'll be able to take them out, alive, and release them as far from your home as you wish! No more dead squirrel stink!

Couple of ideas:

BioDefend makes a squirrel repellant that is safe. Basically they took different smells and tastes that squirrels don't like and turned them into a repellant.

Also try treating the entry areas with vinegar or sulfur. Squirrels dont like either one and will do anything to avoid it.

And lastly but not proven: my friend swears by coffee grounds. Dont ask me why but it works with her squirrels.
