Hi, I don't know about your area, but instructors out here make about $40-50 per hour lesson. It would obviously depend on how many lessons she takes. You may also incur more costs if the horse doesn't jump and has to be trained to jump as well as if they travel to shows, then you have all of those costs as well. As for equipment a standard English bridle and forward seat English saddle should be just fine so you probably wouldn't have to worry about it if she is already riding English. It takes time to work up to different fence heights. Most trainers start you out on crossrails and then small verticles. The younger she starts the more competitive she will be later in life because jumping is all about balance and feel. But it is soooo fun!
