Default Running out of Ideas

I am running out of ideas on what I can do with my miniature horses.
I have 2 miniature horses
Nicci is a Silver Dapple Grey gelding who is in his late teens and can't do very much. My second one is Kitty a paint mare who I think is a 11 and she has health problems. I have been treating her for heaves since 2006. We got her so she could replace Nicci since he can no longer drive. Well she can't drive any more do to the heaves. She can't even walk from her field to the barn without problems. She is an ok jumper but it kinda gets boring since I am the only one working with them. I even tried teaching them tricks and its not working. I spent a whole summer trying to teach her to bow. Nicci won't even put his head down. All they are good at is sitting in the field and doing nothing. I can't sell Nicci because he is a rescue and I don't really want to sell Kitty. Maybe I have to finally have to realize its time to give up on them and retire them.

They sound like Petting Zoo ponies!

Or (if they ride/ lead line) have you considered doing pony rides if you have the transportation available for them? Fairs/Horse shows/October Fests? Just lead line at a walk shouldn't be to strenuous...

sorry to change to subject but what is heaves?? i have never heard of this.

Oh, and certify them as rehab ponies and take them to nursing homes to visit. studies have shown that animals can greatly change a person's outlook and attitude about things. Of course we all already knew that, right?
