Default Feet dragging

I was just wondering what I can do for a what seems like lazy problem? My QH hershey seems to want to drag her feet sometimes and it causes her to trip up. Is there anything I can do for this? A friend of mine suggested cavalletis but she said I may also use logs about 18" apart. Anyone ever tried this or have other suggestions?

You could use just about anything. I use PVC pipe that I have around we started out walking and then trotting over them. I do it while on his back and on the ground. I also vary the distances and height so that way they have to pay attention to what they are doing. I also have an area the I can walk over and step up and down telephone poles. Also maybe ask you farrier to square or roll the toe to help with breakover. Depending on age it could be early arthritis setting in.

Hope this helps

She's 12 I still consider her kind of young. I used just sticks of wood and it seems to be working. So i'm going to keep up with that then introduce other things too. Thanks for your reply.

Depending on how hard she has been used she could be developing some early arthritis also. I would definately try rolling, or squaring her toe and maybe upping her time to be re-shod by a week.

Good luck and hope this info helps.
