I love a gray, have 4 of them in various stages of lightening.

Does your horse come to the gate or more come and catch me ?

BOTH. But 90% of the time they come to the gate...

Favorite breed for E/W Plesure events?

I originally fell in love with my horse because she actually came to the gate when I was there (unlike the horse I was leasing). However, ever since I took her as my own...it's more of a catching game!

My favorite breed is the QH, primarily the O'lena line.
But I also enjoy my Hollywood and Freckles bred as well.
Current favorite for relaxing, my Nz TB, he's the best to just hack out.

Do you wash your horse or tack more ?

Tack. My old horse used to get all dirty after I finished bathing her anyways so I focus a lot on brushing her.

How old were you when you started riding?

My first ride was when I was 6 months old (in a back-sling behind mommy of course) and then by myself literally as soon as I was physically able to balance and hold on. Thank goodness we had some pretty good dead-heads and been-there-done-that horses!

What was the name of your first horse ever owned?

I bought my first horse from a woman that my 4-H instructor knew, sadly I didn't realize it at the time that she had been abused. It took me 2-years to overcome every obstacle, but she was the best horse I have ever owned. Sadly, she had been barrel raced at 2 and her shoulder grew in straight, eventually leading to arthrits. She was sold to a older couple as a pasture horse, she passed away earlier this year.

What color combo do you use for your horses tack/halters?

at the moment i have a rainbow colored halter and lead rope and a maroon halter with a hot pink browband and cheekstrap and rainbow rains.

does your horse eat chocolate popcicles?

(the reason i asked this is because my horse, Big Boy ate my popcicle... and the stick!!!
you could hear him crunching up the stick! and he likes his dewormer medacine!!!)

No, But my old guy loves hotdogs, but only with mustard.

Now that the weathers better, how long/often do you ride?

I love riding in fall weather. When the leaves are turning and it's just cool enough to need a jacket in the morning and evening, but not in the middle of the day. The horses are frisky and you don't have sweat running down your face and the scenery is beautiful!

What is the longest ride/trail ride you've ever been on?

Well heck, that had to be about 35 - 40 miles.

What was your favorite breed of horse when you were little?

Oh heck yes. The Breyers, Tractor Supply horses, Grand Champions, mini Grand champions etc... that list goes on and on and on. I think I had about every kind of toy horse their was to own. I even tried making them by melting plastic sour cream containers and tops. Ended up with a few burn scars that are still on my fingers lol...

Who is your favorite Clinician? (Parelli, Craig Cameron etc)...
