I can remember when I was about 15 maybe 16 I was out riding in southern idaho.. exploring actually looking for old wagon train stuff. I would sometimes find bottle with the metal flip top lids. Arrow heads and even one time found a grinding stone and bowl.
Well the story goes I was heading home with some treasure for the day and I was looking down at them in my hand as my molly was automatic in returning to the barn.
But as we about ... oh I would say looking back around 30 yards from a dried up water canal that we would usually just walk down into and out of. But I was way into the indian arrow heads I found that day and wasn't paying attention.
Well either was the oversize godzillian jackrabbit that waited until we were on top of it to blow out of the sagebrush... Molly spooked and I drove my hands around the horn and away we went forward and fast...
Up and over the canal.. of and down I went... don't worry molly made it back to her stall just fine..
Me I think I am still picking sagebrush out of my rear.. and teeth...
Oh go ahead and laugh everything worked out okay..
Oh I had perfect form by the way .. heel down up and over .. ya right..
