Default Lipizzan Stallions visit NC

I originally saw the Riding School in Washington, DC, back in 1970. It was a spectacular show, and I still remember it vividly. This wasn't quite the same, but I was still riveted to my seat the entire 2 hours. Didn't get a Capriole, but here are the best pix of the hundred and something (I do other things!!!!) The group maneuvers were moving too much to get clear pix. They also had 2 Lipizzans who'd been rescued from a breeding farm just for L's--the owners had abandoned all the horses!!!!!

The last three are two of the 3 Andalusians. What I would give to have one!!! (But not one of my kids!!!)

Although they are good and still have many years of riding/training, that is White Horse Productions.
This group is based in Florida and all but a few of the horses are US bred/born. Not taking anything away from them, but they don't compare to the actual Spanish Riding School of Vienna. Like you it was not what you had remembered from the 70's. They were here 4 yrs ago for an anniversary tour. And as brilliant as always. The school has actually been sold and is now public and as most public horse businesses struggling. Are reportedly very close to bankrupt. If you go to their website, you can either donate or purchase merchandise to try and help.
