Default Amigo's '09 Colt!!

He's finally here! A buckskin colt out of May (more than likely will be a Bay), he has a blaze face, small sock on his left hind leg, and some white on the inside of his gaskin. He is huge, and has a good bit of muscle for Amigo's typical newborns... Anyone have name suggestions? Anything southern/ western...

Hope everyone enjoys the photos!

Awww! What a little cutie! Is mom a bay or a dark buckskin? Almost looks like she has some barring on her legs. He seems to have a nice solid little body, lol, Good Job Amigo and May!

Mom is a Golden Buckskin. The "Barring" is actually sweat lines. She was dirty, and also didn't enjoy the idea of being relocated to another pasture but I did not want her in the farthest back corner (which is a mile to the other end of the property) due to coyotes in the area. We've never really had bad problems with the coyotes but they can get very interested in weak newborn stock.

Thanks Appy! Carino added to the list (how do you get the little: ~ on top of the letter? I've tried all the different ways I can think of!)

I have Willy on my mind but that's jut another on the list, not too common around here but it still gives me the feeling that there's a better name out there! Also Little Joe (Bonanza)... but... still thinking...

I feel terrible! He is two weeks old today and I still don't have a name for him. He's jut "buddy" for the moment.

Thanks y'all. Well he was officially named Buckshot, though he is occasionally called "Bowlegs" because he was born bowlegged and it was a couple months before he finally grew out of it (not uncommon or necessarily bad for foals to be born with temporary leg abnormalities).
